JONI Homes is a new property development company, set up by us, Jo and Nick Canning. Its mission is to build fantastic, contemporary, family houses, using high quality building materials which are rooted in traditional designs.
We are a wife and husband team starting out on a new business venture. Having spent 10 years renovating our last two family homes, using the best quality materials and builders, we decided to use the same principles to build contemporary family homes, marrying our love of traditional design with the convenience of modern living.
Jo is the inspiration for the designs of the houses, inside and out, and would be delighted to talk to you about her influences. She likes nothing more than to spend a few hours scanning the pages of house design magazines which serve to sharpen her instincts about what she does and doesn’t like! With 4 children, a husband, a dog and a rabbit, she has experienced most things family life can bring and believes your home should be built to offer flexibility for how you live your life now and in the future.
Having lived through the renovation of two Victorian townhouses, Nick knows that the combination of dedication, tenacity and vision required to deliver building projects of such exacting standards can be an elusive mix. The opportunity to prove it is possible to build better quality new family homes, based on traditional designs, is how JONI Homes was born.
When we completed our most recent house renovation, it was with a building company called New Nostalgia. Led by Gary Grierson, this small, dedicated team have been building and renovating houses for over 25 years. New Nostalgia bring all of the experience, expertise and accreditations required to bring Jo’s visions to reality.
We chose Gary and New Nostalgia to help re-build our own home. Together, we have now built our first set of houses which we hope can become your home.
